Beyond the Backpack: Bringing Ultimate Hope to Manasota’s Public Schools This Fall
As mid-September arrives, families across Manatee and Sarasota counties have finally settled into their new school year routines. Backpacks are packed, lunches are made, and after-school schedules are locked in.
But as kids fill the hallways of our local elementary schools, many are carrying weights that won't fit into a backpack—anxiety, broken situations at home, or simply the confusion of growing up in a chaotic world. Statistically, millions of children across our nation do not regularly attend a local church, meaning they may grow up without ever hearing a clear, life-changing presentation of the Gospel.
At Child Evangelism Fellowship® Manasota, we believe every child deserves the chance to experience the hope, joy, and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. That’s why we are stepping back onto local school campuses this month.
The Mission Field Right Down the Street
Through our primary after-school program, the Good News Club®, we act as a vital bridge between local Bible-believing churches and public schools. Every week, dedicated, background-checked volunteers enter local campuses to host a high-energy, 90-minute club packed with dynamic Bible lessons, memorable scripture verses, action-packed games, and relational small groups.
We aren't just giving kids something safe to do after the final bell rings; we are discipling them for Christian living and building strong foundations for their future.

CEF® Manasota is entirely faith-supported. We rely on the radical generosity of local believers, businesses, and churches to keep these clubs entirely free for every family. As the school year gains momentum, here is how you can stand with us:
